Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn Sedgwick (born August 19, 1965) is an American actor, producer and director. Her most well-known work is playing the role of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick was awarded two Emmy Awards in the years 2010 and 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. The series ended following the seventh season. Sedgwick is also known for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated to an Golden Globe award in 1995 for her role on Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992), Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick is the daughter Patricia Rosenwald who is an educator and family therapist, a venture capitalist as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech Therapist.
