Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki, an American political advisor, served as the 34th White House Press Secretary from 2021-2022. As a member in the Democratic Party, she was previously the White House deputy presses secretary (2009-2011); White House deputy director of communications (2009-2011); White House deputy director(2009-2011) and spokesperson for the United States Department of State (2013)-2015 as well as White House communications director (2015)-2017. Psaki was an CNN political contributor from 2017 through 2020. Psaki began her professional career with an Iowa Democratic senator, Tom Harkin, and then became the governor of Iowa. Psaki then served as deputy press secretary for John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. From 2005 until the year 2006, Psaki served as communications director for U.S. representative Joseph Crowley and regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki returned in 2012 to the field of political communications serving as the press secretary of President Obama's 2012 campaign for reelection. In the year 2000, Psaki became the spokesperson for United States Department of State. The speculations that she would be replacing Jay Carney White House Press secretary after he left the White House[21] were fueled by her hiring at the Department of State. However, Josh Earnest was announced as Carney's replacement on May 30th, 2014. She was appointed communications director at the White House and continued to do so until the end of the year in 2015.
